For your role

A one-off project, operation without daily tasks

The cycle is started by the staff working in the room, not by the technical department. The system reports its own operating status; from the Professional level, service connects remotely, and the fog also reaches the ventilation outlets. Below you will find the components, connections, the installation process and the division of service responsibilities.

Benefits for the technical department

Operation that does not burden the technical department

We involve the technical department in project preparation, installation coordination and system handover. Day-to-day operation is handled by trained staff of the facility. Specialist maintenance, settings and regular servicing are provided by the manufacturer or its contracted service partner in the country concerned.

Operation without intervention by the technical department

The cycle is started by staff in the room at the press of a button, or it runs according to a set schedule.

No daily or weekly task is added on your side.

Automatic diagnostics and notifications

Sensors continuously monitor the operating status of the system. Alerts that the product needs refilling or that a service visit is required are sent via GSM on all four levels. From the Professional level, our service team carries out remote diagnostics over a secure VPN connection, which shortens the time needed to resolve a request.

Coordination with ventilation (HVAC)

We take the ventilation operating mode into account at the design stage. During the cycle it can stay at full output or be switched off.

Regular application also helps reduce the microbial load in the outlets and connected sections of the ductwork. It does not replace filter changes or technical maintenance.

Certification and security clearance

The device bears the CE marking and its conformity has been assessed by experts in the areas of electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility and machinery safety. The biocidal product is registered, and our company applies certified management systems in accordance with ISO standards.

Selected members of the project team hold level II security clearances from the Slovak National Security Authority (NBÚ) for the classification level Confidential, including NATO CONFIDENTIAL and EU CONFIDENTIAL authorisations. On handover we provide the relevant certificates, reports and safety documentation.

Components

System components

MEDIfogg® is a permanently installed automated system designed around the layout and operation of the specific facility. Once installed, it becomes part of the building's technical equipment.

  • 01

Piping and nozzles in the room

The piping is permanently routed into the treated rooms and terminates in nozzles that disperse the dry fog evenly.

We determine their number and placement according to the volume, layout and technical conditions of each room.

  • 02

    Control unit

It controls the entire disinfection cycle and evaluates the sensor data. From the Control level, it enables automatic cycle scheduling and identification of authorised operators.

The control unit is located outside the treated room.

  • 03

    Product reservoir

The reservoir contains a registered biocidal product: stabilised hydrogen peroxide 7.7% with ionised silver (Ag⁺).

A sensor continuously monitors its level and the system sends a timely alert when it needs refilling.

Connection requirements

Connections and requirements for the space

Parameters that allow the feasibility of the project to be assessed even before the site survey.

Power supply
3+N+PE, 230/400 V, 50 Hz, TN-C-S system. The control voltage is 24 V DC.
The required power input and fusing are determined by the specific system configuration and the number of sections.
Compressed air
The system requires no compressed air connection or compressor. A high-pressure pump generates a working pressure of up to 70 bar, and patented high-pressure nozzles atomise the biocidal product into a fine dry fog. The pump, pressure regulation, filtration, piping and anti-drip protection for the nozzles are included in the supply.
Data connection
Core and Control can operate without a data network connection. The Professional and Enterprise levels use Ethernet. Enterprise enables communication via Modbus TCP and integration into a BMS or PLC. GSM notifications are available on all levels.
Space for the control unit
The unit is installed indoors at an operating temperature of 5 to 45 °C and a maximum relative humidity of 70%. The electronic and control components are housed in a closed distribution cabinet with a high IP rating, which provides protection against dust and powerful water jets. Sufficient space must be left around the unit for safe servicing.
Product storage
The biocidal product is stored in accordance with its safety data sheet, in its original closed container, at a designated secure location. The exact storage conditions and safety instructions are part of the documentation handed over to the operator.
Ventilation (HVAC)
It stays in operation during the cycle and draws in the fog just as it does air, so the fog also passes through the outlets and ducts of the treated room. No airing or extraction is needed after the cycle; the hydrogen peroxide breaks down into water and oxygen on its own.

Installation

The installation process

Installation requires building work, the extent of which we determine during the site survey. It is scheduled for a shutdown period, not a normal operating day.

  1. Step 01

    Site survey and design

We walk through the rooms, measure the volume and propose the number of sections, the piping route and the nozzle layout. You receive a specific proposal for your rooms, including the pipe route.

  2. Step 02

    Installation

Pipe routing, fitting the nozzles, positioning the control unit and wiring. Installation takes up to 48 hours per theatre, and we schedule it during a shutdown or outside operating hours.

  3. Step 03

    Testing and report

We test the system, hand over the test report and train the staff who will operate it.

Building work
Installation only requires local penetrations for routing the piping and fitting the nozzles. Depending on the construction of the room, the piping can be surface-mounted or concealed in the suspended ceiling. We always agree the specific solution with the facility's technical department.
Permits
MEDIfogg® is designated technical equipment. For every installation we arrange the official test, certificate and expert opinions from TSÚ Piešťany, a report determining external influences and an inspection report.
Expandability
The system can be gradually extended with further rooms, sections or entire departments. Where the capacity of the existing equipment allows, a new section is connected to the infrastructure already in place without major intervention in the rooms already completed.

Integration

Integration with building systems

From the Professional level, the system can be connected to the building's control room. The disinfection status is then available in an environment you already manage.

Ethernet / Modbus TCP

A standard industrial protocol; the connection requires no custom development. Available from the Professional level.

BMS integration

At the Enterprise level, the system connects to the building management platform and to the PLC. You see status and alarms where you monitor ventilation and energy.

Remote service via VPN

Diagnostics and most service interventions can be carried out without a site visit. Available from the Professional level.

Service

Division of service tasks

It is advisable to define the division of responsibilities between the facility and the supplier before commissioning.

Product refilling
Under a service contract, the product is refilled by the Detectair Slovakia service team. The product is held in the closed central unit; facility staff do not come into contact with it during normal operation, and the system itself reports when it needs refilling.
Service intervals
We carry out a professional service inspection and system adjustment at least once a year. We check the pressure, the tightness of the piping, filtration, nozzles, pump, sensors, electrical components and all safety functions.
Consumables
Consumables and filters are replaced by the service team during the regular inspection. They are included in the monthly service fee.
Predictive maintenance
From the Professional level, the system monitors its own condition and reports the need for intervention before a fault occurs.
Notifications
GSM notifications about servicing and product refilling are available on all four levels.
Scope of supply
Service is provided by Detectair Slovakia, s. r. o. The regular monthly fee covers consumables, filters, the regular inspection and system adjustment, software, travel and the technician's labour.

Faults

Fault procedure

The system reports its own operating status, so you know about a fault before a cycle fails to start.

01

Automatic status reporting

Sensors monitor the operating status and a notification is sent via GSM and, from the Professional level, also to the building's control room.

02

Remote diagnostics

The Professional level provides monitoring, data archiving and remote diagnostics. The Enterprise level allows connection to the building management system, BMS or PLC over an Ethernet network using the Modbus TCP protocol. System status, cycle history and alarms are thus available directly in the facility's existing control room.

03

Service call-out

The service team responds to a reported request within 24 to 48 hours. If the issue cannot be resolved remotely, a Detectair Slovakia service technician comes on site. Travel and the technician's labour are included in the monthly service fee.
